Next Steps for Prince’s Trust Team

Over the last 12 weeks, a group of young people in Felixstowe have been busy completing their Prince’s Trust Team Programme with Inspire Suffolk.
During this time, we have got to know these learners, their aspirations, and what they would like to do next; and have experienced one or two of their online quizzes too!

Today we attended their graduation presentation, and got to hear all about their progress in both personal, and professional terms. They have all come a long way which is a huge credit to the dedication and willingness to make the best of every opportunity given to them along the way.

One of many crucial elements are the ‘work experience’ weeks; not only does it give learners the opportunity to be immersed in the working environment, but it also gives them the chance to impress…and impress they certainly did, so much so, that one of the participants has subsequently been offered an Apprenticeship within the firm he had work experience with, and is due to commence this in just a couple of weeks.

We’re hugely proud of the development and success of the young people we refer onto the Team Programme, and also for those who have made strides towards their career goals and are still in need of coaching, the Youth Employment Service will be here to ensure that the momentum they have been building over the last 12 weeks is pushed on into the future too.

From all at the Youth Employment Service, a really big well done to those young people pushing themselves out of their comfort zones, their determination is a constant source of motivation.

This of course, means that we are now at the point where we begin to look ahead for the next cohort of young people to participate with the Princes Trust Team Programme, if you would like to hear more about the programme pop an email to nextsteps@inspiresuffolk.org.uk.
