Liam

Liam

Liam came into the service wanting to find a new direction at the beginning of July. He has a form of cancer, Neurodegenerative LCH, which is helped with a daily chemo tablet. He also has Thyroid issues and Diabetes insipidus. He was very keen to find work and be in the workplace, as opposed to going to college and being in the typical classroom environment. After being unsuccessful with an apprenticeship application, Simon his YES coach suggested and showed him the year-long Internship at Ipswich Hospital being supported by Suffolk New College. Liam immediately said he’d like to give it a go because he really wanted to be in a role where he was not the patient. Simon helped him apply for the internship and supported him through the process. Liam was successful and starts his role on the 12th September.
